While I'm on a Stash Writer exploration journey. Thought I'd also share a way you can still use Stash as a storage for journals and such! The tech is all there.
Now, mind you, you still have to use the current journal format system, not the "old journal formats". So if you're not savvy to using the new journal formatting, sorry fam, I don't have the solution there.
STEP 1:
Start making a journal.
STEP 2:
"Save As a Draft" (option at the bottom right next to Submit)
STEP 3:
Open up your Stash and find your "Drafts". You'll find this journal hanging out in there:
STEP 4:
Open that bad boy up! You can see there's an option to edit it!
STEP 5:
But Dras, we can already edit Drafts. We know that.
Here's the change! You can now use the "Copy Stash Link" to link this specific journal and anyone can come look at it without you having to post it Just like the ye old Stash Writer stuff. No more drowning in drafts or stockpiling your personal journals.
Check it out:
(clicky)Feel free to take a stare at the test journal(clicky) I made here, still totally stashed away on one of my many admin accounts.
Only use the "Save as Draft" button!!
Otherwise, it will upload to your journals. Click with caution <''3
(be sure to use the "Copy Stash Link" button to get the proper url!)
Enjoy~
(and perhaps this might change in the future :'') apologies for misleading info later on)

**I made the ribbons so they could be stuck together (since its a show of pairs, both your riders get lovely ribbons) but I've also provided them separated too if you'd like that!~
1st Place - 200
2nd Place - 150
3rd Place - 100
4th Place - 75
5th Place - 50
6th Place - 30
Double Trouble - This pair is a ticking time bomb for disaster. Insurance agencies are holding their breath when they take the stage because something is about to bring the roof down, it’s only a matter of time.
Chosen: Hiekka and Blacklisted Bravado from CirclingBirds - Entry
I have a feeling these two were on the verge on shenanigans! We were left with one chomped butt xD
Dream Team - For the pair that demonstrates cohesion and teamwork. They all work well together, overcome adversity together, and both accentuate each other’s strong suits. This pair really vibes together!
Chosen: OWO Whodunnit Murder Mystery and OWO Silver Runway Shot from minervamagicka - Entry
The riders and horse, alike, ride in harmony despite different disciplines (and look how cute their ponies look together)
Outreach Teach - An experienced member helped out their less experienced teammate! That could be from instructor to student or just Old Hand Joe helping the new kid get their feet wet.
Chosen: Emeline and Charlie from hautomnal - Entry
A lovely date to take a pro rider and a not-so pro to come together and help
Friends to the End - For the pair that showed up for fun and games! Winning is okay but they’re just happy to have each other! They get to take home a memento of the occasion: a photograph of their experience to treasure forever!
Chosen: Rebecca on TS Royal Attire and Rachel on on CPS Floraison Volt-Draws - Entry
Those were some serious graceful maneuvers up there. Bravo!~ Encore!~ (wait...)
Hope you had fun! I know I did <3
-Dras~
everyone wrote some kind of story and I'm so happy
Pre-PAIR for trouble.
AND MAKE IT DOUBLE.
RESULTS:
It takes two to tango, two to make a pair, two to share, and- you get the idea. Welcome to the next phase of the Home Grown Show, where you bring the show to your squad, wherever you choose to host your competitors! For this round we’re looking to make friends, maybe create enemies, share the ring, and show us your teams of two!
What’s a pair?
TWO horse and rider "combos” performing the same discipline together (in harmony or chaos):
Pair = Combo A + Combo B
Combo A = Horse A + Person A
Combo B = Horse B + Person B
*for non-rider classes: Pair = Horse A + Horse B
No third wheels allowed for this one (although, they are more than welcome to loom in the background and watch the spectacular~)
Overall idea here: Grab a couple of characters and their ponies and have them perform a discipline of their choice. All classes will be done in pairs and in tandem (together, not one at a time) so think: pairs jumping, pas de deaux, pairs reining, endurance together, vaulting performances, team driving (in one or two carts, your choice), team penning/sorting, etc.
Collabs are accepted (but not all of us have friends, so it’s not a requirement and is not any kind of bonus - let’s just have fun!)
(until it stops being the 26th all around the world.)
Basic Rules for Fair and Fun:
Art:
Art must be original for this show and not re-used art
No premade lines/bases/backgrounds, etc.
Collabs are totally accepted and prizes will be duplicated (only two partners per collab because I’m not going to be able triple prizes :’’D )
All art mediums welcome; give credit where credit due i.e. stock, resources, etc. This excludes:
Literature-only: I don't have a fair literature-only judging system set up. : (
Characters:
All breeds of equine are welcome (fantasy and realistic)
Any magic abilities can totally be used (it will not necessarily boost your score unless it's used in a manner that enhances the piece)
Location/Weather/Time of day: All your choice!
All ages (horse and rider) are welcome, I just ask you to be sensible.
Attire: Casual to formal. Your choice. Even costumes are welcome! (peanut butter and jelly, salt to pepper, yin and yang, let's go~)
Helmets/protective gear are not mandatory but strongly recommended for young/inexperienced riders and high-octane disciplines.
No bans on tack, just be sensible.
Boo-boos and whoopsies are totally acceptable (no permanent injury or loss of life because that's not the spirit of fun here)
Entries:
You may enter any division several times so long as the equine/equestrian pairs are different per entry
Example: Combo A + Combo B may enter all divisions once. Rider A can pick another horse and that would become Combo C (different pairing) and can enter all divisions once.
Further example: Fred and Jim can ride together in Showjumping (English Division) on their horses. They can ride those same horses into Western Pleasure (Western Division). However, if Fred and Jim also want to ride together in Dressage (English Division) they'll both need to pick different horses to form different combos.
Only one pair of combos can be featured in a piece at a time. (No four-person entries, etc.) This helps to make it clear which two are doing the show together as a pairing~ Of course, audience and onlookers totally welcome!
(Any more questions, feel free to ask in the comments or shoot me a message.)
Each of these divisions will start off vague and may be split into more specific divisions if there are high quantities of entries in a specific division. For instance, if there are 10 entries in the English Division, it may be split into, for example, Showjumping and Dressage so we don't make the judge cry and you can all have shiny ribbons <3
-For all your English Discipline needs: Showjumping, Dressage, Hunter, Cross Country, etc.
-For the Yees and Haws: penning, cutting, sorting, reining, western pleasure, trail class, mounted shooting(oh my, be careful), western dressage, etc.
-This is for disciplines such as Endurance, Driving, Vaulting, Obstacle Course, Racing, Mounted Archery, etc. that have a special set of tack/equipment that don’t really fit into the prior categories. Ask if you’re unsure which division yours would go into and we can work it out!
-For those that want to pair up but aren’t willing to compromise on a discipline: “No, I don’t ride western. No, I won’t ride English. Jumping is better than dressage, we do jumping. No, dressage is supreme.” Settle your differences here and let them battle it out! (must be two different disciplines: jumping/dressage, reining/dressage, pleasure/hunt seat, cutting/roping, etc.)
Please note that the combos should be equal as in no liberty/dressage where one combo doesn't have a rider and the other does.
-This division is for the equine-only disciplines such as Liberty displays, Agility acts, or a talent showcase that just features the equines (no handlers/riders allowed).
-This class is solely for the judge to enter and play along. Entries will be judged and awarded ribbons. All other prizes are exempt. Drasayer just wants to come play too This does include anyone that Drasayer collabs with because Dras loves all her friends and won’t be asked to pick one over the other in terms of judging~ <3
Entering your submission is easy! Just comment with a link to your submission below along with the Division name you want to enter it into (English, Western, Combined, Other, Equine-Only). If you’d also like to include what discipline specifically (jumping, dressage, reining, etc.) please feel free to as it may help with further sorting classes should there be lots of entrants!
My entry: (link)
Division: Friends Prize Eligibility: ***YES/NO
***There is a prize that recreates your piece in a chibi/cartoon style: please state YES if you’re okay with your piece being referenced for this prize or NO if you don’t wish to have your piece eligible for that prize (see more below)
Entries will be logged here: Entries List
I will reply to your comment when I have your entry logged! If I have replied and you do not see your entry in the log, please feel free to poke at me again <3 I'm human~
(ran out of deviation space in the grid xD)
This is a Subjective RNG System.
Meaning that more effort will gain you a better chance of a better placement from the RNG.
FOR A FULL EXPLANATION OF THIS SYSTEM SEE HERE: Subjective RNG Rubric
There will be seven criteria your piece will be scored on and will correlate to a range of RNG'd scores.
Amount of horse/*riders depicted (*riders are only accounted for in mounted classes)
Shading
Background
Story - please write a story so I don't have to dock these easy points :''D
Accuracy of the Show Theme
Creativity
Execution of Technique
So what is your judge looking for?
@Drasayer - I want to see your characters interact! Let harmony or chaos ensue! Maybe one of them has a crush on the other - this is the perfect opportunity to get to hang out! Maybe they absolutely despise each other and they were forced to be nice and get through this together. Maybe they are super awesome riders with amazing horses and they need to showcase their talent! Do they have cool magic abilities to perform some majestic feat!? I want to see personalities; good, bad, beautiful, ugly!
Accuracy of the theme: Two ponies (and probably two people) - let’s rock and roll! They should be aiming to create a performance of some kind! So just a combo doing some jumping on one end of the arena and another working on some reining in the other end of the arena - eeeeh, not gonna score so high on the vibes. Bring them TOGETHER!
Creativity: I love a good synchronized performance but if you know me, a touch of insanity is the makings of some memorable performances! I just want you to have some fun (and maybe bring a friend along if you’re lucky to have one <3 ) I want to see what you come up with when you throw together personalities and performances!
Earnings for your pairs!
There will be ribbons 1st-6th that can be stuck together or pulled apart to share! I will present separated ribbons when I roll out the results!
1st Place - 200
2nd Place - 150
3rd Place - 100
4th Place - 75
5th Place - 50
6th Place - 30
*You are welcome to donate prizes (this does not affect your score in any way) but please be aware that the number of classes is subject to increase based upon participation. If you are unable to provide for more classes than what's listed above, please refrain <''3
THERE'S MORE!
This show will be rewarding bonus prizes for special categories that will have nothing to do with how your entry scores! This is based purely on the judge's ( @Drasayer ) opinion on which entry best suits the category! Here they are:
Double Trouble - This pair is a ticking time bomb for disaster. Insurance agencies are holding their breath when they take the stage because something is about to bring the roof down, it’s only a matter of time.
Dream Team - For the pair that demonstrates cohesion and teamwork. They all work well together, overcome adversity together, and both accentuate each other’s strong suits. This pair really vibes together!
Outreach Teach - An experienced member helped out their less experienced teammate! That could be from instructor to student or just Old Hand Joe helping the new kid get their feet wet.
Friends to the End - For the pair that showed up for fun and games! Winning is okay but they’re just happy to have each other! They get to take home a memento of the occasion: a photograph of their experience to treasure forever! (your piece will be replicated in a simplified, cartoon manner. Elements will be simplified but colors/poses and vibe will remain the same. ***Please, if you’re not comfortable with your piece being referenced for this award, state that in your submission comment!)
*All of these prizes are customizable to fit your characters! Hair, mane, accessories, etc. (Winged equine - you might just get an interpretation of wings, apologies <''3)

Heyo. (edits have been made as I learn more and things develop)
Dras here. So you know what that means. dA rolled out another confusing update that's creating a lot of confusion and frustration. Soooo here I am, once again, offering some words and explanations to help alleviate some stress (or not, I can't cure anything)
The hell is this? It's dA's Ai-generator. It's created with some dataset thing called Stable Diffusion. Does this thing have your art in it:
YES and NO, it is and is not not using your art**. It will never add your art as a further training.
Answered better here by a staff member:
From the Twitch Stream from the CEO of dA:
Stable Diffusion was used because they are the few to publish their datasets. Yes, your art could have been used in the past but this was NOT with DeviantArt's consent to use your art. dA never said "Yea, we got loads of art to use". It was used without consent. Yes, they are still using this dataset for DreamUp. Their goal is to further morph the current dataset by not allowing any further use of dA art and change how that dataset is used in the future by even promoting other AI generators to use it instead.
Having their own generator allows for them to take immediate action towards prompts that violates the TOS: hate, pornography, etc. Does that mean they can go in and pull certain themes and terms that are sensitive subject that go against the TOS? I don't know.
In the future, will they use a different dataset that uses NO dA art? Possibly!
*should note here: I'm not trying to white knight this. I want you to form your own opinion whether you think this is good or not. I have my own opinion but sharing it is irrelevant to what I'm trying to do here: just present some straight-forward facts.
DreamUp is an attempt to make AI art a bit more "ethical" working into the future. Such as being able to provide credit should you use a specific username to mimic a specific style of a user that has not opted-out (more on that below) "Upon submitting to DreamUp, artists are asked if there were any specific artists referenced in the prompts. If the answer is yes, the submitter is required to tag the artist who inspired the DreamUp creation" - dA journal Still want to further remove yourself and your work from DreamUp? Here's a form to fill out where you can supply your Username and other socials. You get to also include any terms such as multiple usernames or nicknames you may go by that will prohibit those terms to be used in DreamUp. Meaning Joe shouldn't be able to use "draw this bunny like Drasayer would". No, Joe. Drasayer doesn't draw bunnies for one and Drasayer doesn't want to share her art style either.
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScBl3RIkgoVJh89rWOSd-bz_FdlCZGSUho4ADhG2rmCq3dVPg/viewform
dA is implementing a way to opt-out. This is not tied to DreamUp because it will not be adding any dA art to its current dataset. This is for third party datasets using your art. This is a way to say "no thank you".
Currently, there is a mass opt-out option
Go to your account settings (hover over your icon)
Go to the General settings
Scroll down to where you will see the checkbox to opt-out your entire gallery
Save
Done. Your images are now opted out of being used by third parties.
This feature is being worked on so that it shows up in the descriptions of your pieces too. It may seem like the box is unchecked right now but it's being worked on to show it checked.
This will also include any future uploads as well.
There’s now been an update where ALL of our art is now automatically OPTED OUT of third parties collecting data from our art:
posted at the top of this announcement This is why our voices do matter
"DeviantArt’s new protection will rely on an HTML tag to prohibit the software robots that crawl pages for images from downloading those images for training sets. Artists who specify that their content can’t be used for AI system development will have “noai” and “noimageai” directives appended to the HTML page associated with their art. In order to remain in compliance with DeviantArt’s updated terms of service, third parties using DeviantArt-sourced content for AI training will have to ensure that their data sets exclude content that has the tags present"
Read more about it here: https://www.technewsheads.com/news/deviantart-provides-a-way-for-artists-to-opt-out-of-ai-art-generators-10348
If a third party generator is caught using our art that has been opted out, there can be legal action taken since it violates dA TOS that protects our art. With this, we can have dA on our side to help through the takedown process. Without it, we would be on our own to try and tackle a the third party.
dA is the only platform offering some kind of protection by allowing us to say "DO NOT USE MY WORK FOR YOUR DATASET". Uploading to Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Tumblr, etc. will not have this kind of protection (for now, maybe they get one in the future!)
Nope. Nothing has changed in that aspect. Just as you upload a piece to Twitter, that can be stripped for AI. We now have the option to say "NO THANK YOU". This adds a code line to our art that helps to protect it.
No, that doesn't stop someone from copying/pasting your art into a generator. There's little dA can do to stop that. Bad people are bad. : ( But this is one step forward to help.
What happened here was a very untimely, poorly worded announcement. It makes it look like dA is using our art (they aren't) and giving it to third parties (they still aren't). What's happening here is dA is promoting their own AI-generator in hopes to promote better datasets that won't use our art for further training. And prior to the updated opt-out, users thought that if they weren't opted-out, they were "opted-in" and their art was up for grabs (not true) or that deceased account owners weren't treated fairly as they can't vouch for their own rights. This has now been changed.
dA is also now giving us the power to make our art protected against being used in datasets that train AI. Not checking that box does not give third parties consent either. Please, keep in mind that anything on the internet, regardless of the platform it is posted on has potential risk for it to be used as training for AI programs. But this is one more step you can take to TRY to protect your art <''3
Please, if you have concerns, reach out to me! I am NOT smart about all of this stuff. It's very confusing and I don't understand it all myself. But these announcements have caused a lot of confusion and turmoil in the community.
I am not an expert, not staff, and can't change much but I will try to find an answer if I can!
Here are the stand-in results for the Blissful Bee Spring Show hosted by VeiledHemlock
The official judge's sheet can be viewed HERE.
Please be kind to the stand-in judge (it me <3) I do have comments for all scores as to why each section was scored the way it was (besides the RNG section - it just do what it do.) If you would like to receive these comments, I can send them to you in a private note if you'd like to read through them I stuck closely to how the rubric was described for judging.
